Stygian Essence can be used to allow the player to play as a Stygian. Stygians are a great race for any class because of their Sanctum of Oblivion which increases damage and spell power of the user and their teammates. Stygian essence can be dropped by any of the following monsters for these rates (or bought from players for around 2-3m g)

Champ drops it at 0.2%
Underlord drops it at 0.01%
Grimbeast drops it at 0.08%
Haunted Vines drops it at 0.01%
Vorcugore drops it at 0.08%
Ssuorrvlos drops it at 0.01%
