A Freelance using Skill Mastery

Freelance is a Prestige Class which specializes in copying the skills of other classes. Though they can equip almost any weapon or piece of armor they tend to have rather low stat growth compared to other Prestige Classes. Still this ability to copy skills certainly makes them the most diverse of the classes.
Stat Gains:[]
Freelancer gains the following stats each class level:
- 3 Strength
- 3 Dexterity
- 3 Intelligence
- 3 Stamina
- 3 Luck
- 3 Spirit
How to become a Freelance[]
To become a Freelance first the player must locate the Freelance npc. This npc will pick a set spot in the game (known to players as "Freelance spots") and stay there until someone finds it. Once someone completes the Freelance quest it will randomly teleport to a different spot a

nd wait to be found once again. These spots can be anywhere but are generally located near Hybrid Class Trainers, inside obscure buildings, or somewhere off the beaten path. The Freelance npc will be identical in appearance to whatever player sees it, but it will be completely invisible unless the player is standing very close to it. (Much like the Assassin trainer.)
Once the Freelance npc has been found the player must bump into the npc to receive a phrase. This phrase must be repeated exactly as it appears to the letter. If the player steps back and bumps into the npc again they will receive a different phrase. Once the player has repeated these phrases back at the NPC 80 times the NPC will congratulate them, give them an experience buff that last for 5 hours, and disappear. That player will also unlock the Freelance class though no message will appear saying they did so. If a player does this quest again at level 60 they gain an item called the "Freelancer Sigil." Once the quest has been completed a second time the Freelancer npc will become completely invisible to the player even if they find it again.
Because of the difficulty involved in finding the Freelance NPC a small group of players have been working together to make a Freelance Spot Map to assist newer or less informed players with the quest. It should also be noted that, if the quest is interrupted (someone else steals it from you, the power goes out, etc) your progress (how many times you've repeated the phrases) is usually saved and carry over to your next encounter.
Interestingly there are some things the freelance npc does not mimic. These include stealth (the NPC still appears if you bump into while invisible), and hats.
